You are reading this monthly ezine because you are a member of an association that belongs to the International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management (IFPSM), an international federation of some 40 national associations.

The federation provides a global network within which national associations can work together to raise the profile of purchasing and supply management, strive to develop good practice around the world and represent the interests of professional practitioners in forums at all levels in the public and private sectors.

The federation is growing and becoming increasingly relevant as a representative body and one with leverage, the recent introduction of the European Purchasing Standard being one such example of how the combined influence of member associations can ensure the interests of practitioners are best protected.
